Briarcliff Manor, United StatesSharon Seidl (Shroon) ARTIST STATEMENT:
I love New York! It inspires me with all the rich cultural influences, street art, the combination of the old and the new, contrasted with the most fabulous people in the country. Here, anything can happen, this excites me in the same way my art does.
I have never been afraid to take chances. In my life, as in my artworks, I am known to make bold moves. I take pleasure in the uncertainty of each piece as it reveals itself through line, color, composition and texture. Somewhere in the curious chaos lie familiar, beautiful, comforting forms.
Loud music sets the stage in my studio. I’m often covered in paint from head to toe, singing, dancing and discovering new techniques.
I have had a varied art career. My experience as a creative director has seen me designing for mainline musicians, album art, souvenir brochures, well-known magazines, fashion design features, mobile applications, data visualizations and much more. I have also hired thousands of illustrators and photographers. With many years of designing under my belt, I love many styles. This experience also weaves itself through my work
