Banyan Tree with 13 monkeys by Manuel Murillo in Kitchener
Banyan Tree with 13 monkeys
Impressively huge and detailed work at house entrance that connects with basement and living room. It features a Banyan tree, that connects with the client in a personal level, the tree of life. Monkeys, a sunset on the water, snake and roots. It’s visible from the living room, basement and hall. As well as the garage entrance. A conversation piece. My client was extremely satisfied and recommended me to other people. This work of art took about 90 hours.
I am a Mexican artist based on Kitchener-Waterloo, I have painted since childhood. And large scale walls is my passion!
But I do enjoy creating anything that is art, from little canvases as wedding favor's, to portraits or landscapes on canvas.
I studied in the Fine Arts Institute of Guadalajara. And I have been blessed in the last years to curate residential and commercial mural projects in the area. You can appreciate some of my work in Highland Retirement Place, Community Justice Initiatives, Farah Foods, the 6th vape Shop, Revel Realty in St Jacobs, etc.
My canvases have also been exposed in auctions and gallery's both nationally and internationally.
I have also done workshops for the YMCA, and the Aids committee of Cambridge, Kitchener Waterloo and Area, ACCKWA.
I hope you like my somewhat whimsical, dynamic, semi-realistic, semi-caricaturist style.
My color palettes selection, and I all that I do, and look forward to work together.
