Balat, is a vibrant neighborhood in the old city of Istanbul, where historical churches and synagogues merge with uniquely decorated cafes, mansions painted in a kaleidoscope of colors that ornament old style streets, lined with natural stones.
The artist reflected the familiar and distinguished spirit of Balat's fresh winter in this painting, showing the city's reawakening after a year of turmoil in 2017, and reviving its subtle captivation.
