Meet the Artist
Oklahoma City, United StatesI am a Vietnamese artist from Oklahoma City, OK in the United States. Painting on canvas and murals make life more worth while and creating art in 3D and installations are an added bonus to it all. I show my work throughout the United States and have show in parts of Asia like India, South Korea and Hong Kong. My murals are throughout the world as well, mostly in the U.S, but span from Colombia to India. I would love to broaden that span because I absolutely LOVE to travel. Travel and art is everything to me. I love taking in all the different cultures, languages, smells, nature, architecture, art, the adventure of it all. All the things that I observe, absorb and learn from my surroundings I put into my work. My surroundings are a huge inspiration for me, which I think also allows me to be considerate and respectful to community, history, and culture.
My canvas work has an intimacy that helps me to create very personal work that is very much like a diary. My large scale works, such as murals, is a story of all and for all. It still has so much of myself in it, but also gathers from other outside elements. Large scale murals feels like a big adventure to me. Its like climbing a huge mountain sometimes. Its thrilling and incredibly satisfying when you finish. I'm an adrenaline junky for a big mural. I put my headphones on and I am in another world. I improv a lot of my work, so its truly like warping into another dimension. I like to say, "you get way more than you think you're going to get" to clients. I am a story teller. I tell stories, that tell stories within stories. Stories unfold scene after scene, and months later you may find another story you never knew existed.
