Autumn illustrated series by Greer Can Do That in Semaphore South
Autumn illustrated series
This beautiful set of 4 hand painted and illustrated originals (now available as prints) were designed for various executions. Very delicate yet brigh colours, this is a typical style of mine where I incorporate both water colour and illustration.
Meet the Artist
Semaphore South, AustraliaI am a South Australian based Artist and I’ve been painting for well over 15 years and illustrating since I was a child. I am a full time artist after having spent 30 years in the Corporate world in various Brand & marketing roles in the financial Services sector.
My work is extremely diverse, having illustrated and painted on small cards (with my own card range), to large wall murals in pubs, restaurants, homes and businesses. I also paint on just about any surface including wine barrels, surfboards, clothing, canvas, paper, board and glass.
My style is unique, a real combination of big, bold and colourful (almost a blend of watercolour and abstract), with detailed, impressionistic/realism elements. I create movement in my work and layers with texture.
My work is known to tell great stories.
I do commissions as well as my own work for my collectors, exhibitions and as an artist in residence.
As for my inspiration, it comes from ‘life’ - we are so blessed with what’s surrounding us. I love all things nature, flora & fauna, underwater, animals, birds, all creatures both great and small. My biggest reactions are always about my use of colour and the stories in my work.
I also run acrylic workshops, sharing my skills and teaching others my techniques, for corporates, general public and private 1 on 1’s.
I love the freedom to be as creative as I can which is when I seem to do my best work. I am professional yet very down to earth and will give most jobs a go!
