Aswa the horse
This was a commissioned piece for someone who loves horses. I wanted to create a fun color play with a an acrylic texture for the background. I have added a lot of detailing to the horse and created a cut out effect that looks like it was carved out. I made this using procreate on my ipad.

I am Tanuja Bhat, Illustrator based out of India. My art is inspired by Indian art styles like the Mughal inspired Jaipur art, Madhubani, Kantha, mysore paintings, Sanjhi art etc. I love telling a story with my art and I absolutely love adding little details or learning new art forms that have a cultural significance to the art I am creating.
I work with different art mediums and forms (crochet/macarame/acrylic painting/craft paper art/embroidery etc) and this helps me add a holistic perspective to the art I create. I am very good with drawings/line illustrations and I give a lot of attention to detail and story telling.
