Ashes and snow by BTA in Bucharest

Ashes and snow

I paint that which stirs my soul, It's a metaphor about the insignificance of grandeur, For greatness alone does not hold true meaning. Be it a whale, a ship, a nation, or a person, All shall eventually fade into dust and bones, Perhaps they may impress someone centuries hence, But that does not grant them true significance. Yet ponder this: we have Moby Dick, the Flying Dutchman, the Nautilus... That’s why we know about them Their actions and stories render them significant. Likewise in life, you may be visible and seemingly significant, But what others think and say about you depends on your deeds... Write your own future through the prism of courage, Kindness, justice, love for loved ones or for your pursuits, And you shall never be forgotten without a trace, You shall never be a mere fossil. An image means nothing if you have nothing to say, Or if you lack the courage to express it.
