Ascension 35
This is a piece from my personal collection. I painted it while I was living in Tucson. Every year I do a birthday painting. This was 2024. This piece was about divinity and being one with the Earth. The flower in the back is a cosmo. The human image is a self portrait. My body represents the earth, and the hair represents the ocean. The cicadas were waking up from there 13 year slumber and this guy came to visit me. The sphynx embodies all of my cat like qualities. I also just have a particular fondness of them.

Meet the Artist
Newkirk, United StatesI am an Oklahoma based artist. I grew up in Oklahoma and just returned after 20 years. Love inspires all my work. I have been passionate about art for my entire life. I've done commissions for a few business but mostly, I've worked with private clients. I graduated suma cum laude with my degree in Fine Arts, in 2011. I have amazing technical skills. My last show was a group show at Studio Noho, in Los Angeles. It was called tiny embers, small paintings with big ideas. Through the years I have been working mainly in surrealism. Which, I fell in love with thanks to Kay Sage, Dali, and Frida. I would love to work on something for you.
