Ascendente
The concept behind this wall is inspired by the theme of migration, symbolizing the deep connection between humans and nature in our shared instinct to seek new horizons. This idea is represented through the image of a bird in flight, ascending in search of a better place to live and settle. The mural was nominated for the 2020 Niagara Biennial Award and went on to win the Outdoor Art Award
Meet the Artist
Welland, CanadaI am a Venezuelan-born artist based in Welland, Ontario, Canada, with over 20 years of experience in both outdoor and indoor wall painting. My expertise spans from printmaking to live painting, and everything in between. I hold a university degree in the arts with a specialization in graphic arts. One of my murals, located in St. Catharines, was nominated for the Niagara Biennial Award in 2020 and received an Award of Excellence in the category of Outdoor Art.
