Aidan and Christie
Two portraits on A4 paper. The left acrylic and the right pencil. When I was making work towards my a-level in art and design I took upon the topic of ‘phobias,’ one of which being claustrophobia, a suffocating phobia which my mother happens to suffer with. I ended up representing this phobia by depicting portraits of people’s faces being covered by plastic wrap. Years went by and I remembered how much enjoyment I got from painting in this style that I set myself a mini project on it again, and that’s what these portraits are!
Meet the Artist
Billericay, United KingdomHi, I’m Louisa (but most people call me Lou)!
I’ve just graduated from WSA with a BA in Fine Art, and I’m now finding my feet in the art world. Painting is my passion, especially painting with purpose. I’m very confident with my painting skills, and believe my creativity is meant to be shared, I’d love the chance to bring that spark into your life.
I usually work with acrylics on canvas, creating pieces that blend realism with surrealism. That said, I’m always open to new ideas and can paint just about anything on any surface you’d like!
Whether you’re looking for a hand-painted sign, a custom canvas, or a heartfelt family portrait for your nan, I’m your gal! Right now my focus isn’t on money, it’s on finding an outlet to keep making art
I’m usually online and quick to reply, so please don’t be shy and reach out anytime!
