Afternoon by Charlestown
The sun is warm, the sea is blue. Sitting on the harbour wall, facing the sea with a sketchbook in hand, this piece began to take shape in my mind. Inspired by the sight of this single ship rising and falling in the tide, it made an irisitable subject.

Meet the Artist
Radstock, United KingdomRebecca explores the diversity of colour, light and energy in a painting. From the African blooms of rosy light over the Savannah to the tranquil temper of an evening on the coast. As well as wildlife and landscapes, she is adept at portraiture, having also completed commissions to include formal portraits of a mayor and family to those less formal also.
In January 2022, she participated as a wildcard in the first episode of Sky Arts Landscape Artist of the Year, following an appearance as a contestant in Art Battle in Bristol competing for a place in the finals.
As a person, she can be described as good humoured and well natured, always striving to put in 100% into everything she does.
