After the Battle by Rosemarieduboisart in San Antonio

This acrylic painting was a commission from someone who gave me rather free range! I asked them a series of questions to learn more about them, what kind of elements attract their eye and to get a better idea of what kind of painting they were looking for. A few years prior, I had created a world in which there are gardens with beautiful flowers, vegetables and growth. In the middle of these gardens, there is usually the remnants of a knight armor. This is the aftermath of the knight "releasing" inflammatory creatures that roam this particular world. The knight must prick the creature and allow the blood to spill. In turn, the knight also is released with the creature. From this, an abundant garden grows. I wanted to show a lot of movement in this work, for the viewer to feel truly swept up in this tale.
