A-Fence Alexanderplatz by Keinom in Berlin

A-Fence Alexanderplatz

The construction fence at Alexanderplatz in the heart of Berlin was painted 4 times. The theme of this time was "Metamorphosis". Metamorphoses are transformations. These occur in nature in many different forms. The theme of the new A-Fence is "Metamorphosis". I created a double metamorphosis in his painting, which is based on the season in which the painting was created. It was painted in spring and will be on display throughout the summer. It therefore shows two transformations that take place during these months. In April and May, the yellow dandelion flowers begin to bloom. In May and June, the first dandelion seed flies can also be observed, which bring so much joy to the children. When the children blow on the flowers, the seed carriers turn into tiny, feathery white parachutes and ensure the dandelion spreads. It is not without reason that the dandelion, with its round shape and many seed umbrellas, bears the name "dandelion". The second metamorphosis in the picture is the transformation of a caterpillar into a butterfly. Caterpillars usually pupate in August of the previous year. Sometimes the small caterpillars sail down the umbrellas of the dandelion. By May at the latest, all butterfly species have developed, hatched and spread their colorful wings in summer.
