529 Panda Houston Representing Deuce by Francisco Acevedo in Houston
529 Panda Houston Representing Deuce
This piece was created with hand painted acrylics, using a mix of neon and fluorescent paints to maximize brightness and glow. It's a 10x20-in piece on drywall, featuring a panda and a Houston Astros jersey enjoying himself in a game room, throwing up a classic H-Town sign or deuces. Designed to pop under black light, I aim to give it a 3d effect in a cartoon caricature style. The project was a lot of fun to work on and I focus on capturing every detail with an extra vibrant look for a bold illuminated finish.
I am inspired by life. I look and admire everything around me and I try to study what I see. I believe that this type of awareness is what has allowed me the skills to be an artist, to try and replicate what I see in the outside world as well as my internal world. I enjoy being in the flow, which is where I believe the magic is at. The flow is the source of Life energy that travels through us and gifts us with intuition as well as our imagination. This is what keeps me tapped in and allows me to completely embrace my project and complete it to clients satisfaction. My goal is to create art that inspires not only me but others as well and to help bring to life my clients visions and make them a reality for them.
