Design description: This live painting design celebrates the vibrant spirit, diversity and natural beauty of the Guildford community within Cumberland City Council. Inspired by Duck River and the local fauna that inhabits the area, the artwork features a surreal hybrid duck character with human legs, symbolising movement, connection and the multicultural energy of the festival.
The surrounding flowers and organic elements represent the rich local flora and the growth of the community over the past 10 years of Cumberland City Council.
The composition uses bold, vibrant colours inspired by the Cumberland City Council logo, while also creating a visually striking artwork that naturally attracts people during the live painting
experience.
The overall artwork combines surrealism, nature and human elements in Almendra Trevino’s signature style, transforming local identity into a playful and emotionally engaging visual experience.

Originally a Graphic Designer with post-degree studies in Art History and Mixed Painting Techniques, currently a full-time artist specializing in illustration, murals and fine art canvas.
I'm inspired by the unseen beauty of — Human kindness, animal greatness, plant nobility, soul beauty, body language, energy, fearlessness, gratitude, freedom, and femininity.
My job is to translate these invisible inspirations into tangible expressions. Drawing from Mexico's rich culture and Australia's natural beauty, I create pieces that provoke thought and emotion.
I like to use forms and line textures creating a highly detailed `other-worldly´ line work, that transports viewers to a different realm, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to share my work with others.
