365 days of activism
The place where I turned the poster into an artwork was at a beautiful quiet camping site. The artwork was in support of 365 days of activism against gender based violence that the Drakenstein Municipality wanted to do. The surface was neat so there wasn't much to prep besides cleaning the wall first and then starting with my based coat and there after constructing the artwork from the notes I made. I used pva acrylic paint and brushes to complete the work. I work fast paced and I completely the mural within 2weeks tops.
Meet the Artist
Wellington, South AfricaI am a self taught artist from a small town. I've started out with working on fabric with fabric paint since 2015 where matriculants wore sign day shirts. From there onwards I started creating fabric portrait paintings and abstract art on canvases. I also customize art caps and t shirts the clients who like their unique taste. I've explored more with mural work and spray painting with stencils. I did a commissioned mural for the Drakenstein municipality at a camping site. My skills have developed tremendously as I opened myself to varies types of art and mediums with paint itself.
