'Tropical Void' by ERVITI in Barcelona
'Tropical Void'
All paintings are inevitably autobiographical snippets of their creator, but this one is particularly significant for the author. The painting was started in 2021 and finished in 2023. She started it by the end of a relationship, and transformed it over the years with the feeling of closure, blossoming and expansion.

Meet the Artist
Barcelona, SpainLaura Erviti (Barcelona,1990) is a contemporary surrealist painter and environmental artivist. She is currently represented long term by Artevistas Gallery, in the heart of Barcelona (Born and Gotic).
Having studied in Barcelona, Berlin and London, she focuses her creative practice on painting canvas and murals that absorb CO2. Sensations and emotions unfold organically in her compositions, blending dreams, environmentalism, and activism.
