"The lady don't protest enough" by Otto Schade (Osch) in London
"The lady don't protest enough"
“The Lady don’t protest enough” – This was an invitation to take part on a project organised by “Outside the Zone” in Shoreditch, London.
The idea was to paint something with my ribbon style but at the same time I wanted it to be related to parts of the history of one of London’s most famous sons: William Shakespeare. So this painted mural is a homage to Shakespeare’s “Hamlet”. I took the quote: “The Lady doth protest too much” and modified it to “The lady don’t protest enough”. Then the woman is taking the skull as Hamlet did with his famous quote: “To be or not to be”. Asking the skull (man) for same rights (sort of reactions for sexual harassment and all these protests from women demanding more rights). On relation to the spot under the bridge, was perfect to meet the 2 energies, one from West and the other from East as a meeting point. In the end, hopefully there are going to be equal rights for both sides.

Combining my love for Architecture and Art, I began painting surreal urban contemporary pieces. Originally starting with oil paint on canvas, I explored various styles and mediums from collages, to illustrations, to stencil free-hand spray paint on canvas and then, the eventual shift to interior and exterior walls.
I discovered the local urban art scene in 2009, where I painted pieces boasting a sharp and ironic twist. While communicating anti-war themes in my Orb style. I also use a trademark ribbon style, that is very recognisable and unique, using always Osch as his signature.
I participated in some art festivals including the “Upfest” in Bristol (UK), “Sand, Sea and Spray” (UK) in Blackpool, “City of Colors” in Birmingham (UK), Crush in Denver (US), “40 Grad Festival in Dusseldorf, Art base in Neustrelitz, “Hometown” in Berlin “ and “Monumenta” in Leipzig (Germany). My pieces have been exhibited in the USA, South America, Africa, Asia and many cities across Europe. Furthermore, my artwork have been exhibited in Gothenburg (Sweden) , Tokyo (Japan), Miami (US), Paris (France), Berlin, Cologne, Dusseldorf (Germany), Santiago (Chile), Hong Kong (China), Moscow (Russia), Nairobi (Kenya), Amsterdam (Netherlands) and Brussels (Belgium).
My latest collective shows I took part in London was ”R.I.O.T.” at Saatchi gallery, “Love Endurance” at Stolen Space gallery and “Unreal” at Maximillian Wolfgang Gallery.
