"She Wore the Storm" by Reyden Bareno Paints in Makati
"She Wore the Storm"
A meditation on solitude and transformation... this painting shows a figure mid-transition—between being and dissolving, thought and stillness. The fragmented brushwork, especially upon headdress, suggests the fading of identity or ego, giving way to a quieter, more essential self.

Meet the Artist
Makati, PhilippinesHi, I’m Reyden Bareno, a self-taught painter from the Philippines, who came to art and painting while living in Australia. With a deep love for capturing emotion, light, and movement on canvas, my journey started out as a personal creative outlet, but over time, I’ve found that my work resonates with others—especially through my process videos, which have gained great feedback and engagement on Facebook and YouTube.
Painting for me is both meditation and storytelling; I draw inspiration from everyday beauty, fleeting emotions, and the vibrancy of nature and humanity. Every brushstroke is intentional—rooted in emotion, driven by instinct, and refined by experience.
My art has found homes in Australia to the Philippines and beyond, and I’m now exploring how to expand my reach by combining traditional painting while learning more about digital platforms like NFTs. I believe that art should not only be seen but felt—and if I can make someone pause, reflect, or feel joy through my work, then I’ve succeeded.
Beyond the canvas, I’m all about connecting with fellow creatives and sharing what I’ve learned. I love pushing boundaries and experimenting with form, but at the heart of it all is a genuine passion for creating something meaningful.
Let’s make art that moves people.
Let's make art that moves you.
