About
Hi there! I am a self-taught Kansas City based artist. I create art with color, emotion, texture and a little bit of bling. As an expressive contemporary artist, I’m inspired by nature, movement, light, memory, and the unexpected beauty found in everyday life. My paintings explore the boundary between art, object, and environment, transforming ordinary natural and manufactured materials, meaningful keepsakes, and sentimental elements into layered, sculptural surfaces that preserve traces of place, movement, and personal story. I work intuitively through bold color, mixed media, expressive marks, sculptural texture, shimmer, and unexpected details. With this, giving familiar materials new life and inviting the viewer to experience them in an entirely different way. I’m interested in transforming our conception of what a painting can be: not simply an image on a canvas, but a tactile experience, a memory captured in layers, and an evolving conversation between the artwork, the space, and the person experiencing it. For me, art is meant to be felt as much as it is seen. I create with the hope that each piece brings energy, joy, inspiration, curiosity, and a sense of wonder into its surroundings. Because when the right artwork enters a space, it doesn’t simply catch the light or catch your eye! It can also catch your heart, awaken a memory, and completely transform how you experience the space around you.

Pick me for these projects! :-

I love creative projects that have meaning, intention, and the potential to transform people and spaces. I’m especially passionate about creating one-of-a-kind commissioned artworks that are deeply personal to the person or space they’re created for! The pieces that bring new energy, intention, inspiration, and a sense of identity into their environment. I love the excitement of developing artwork for exhibitions and shows, pushing myself into new concepts, experimenting with materials, and creating pieces that challenge the traditional boundaries of what a painting can be. I’m also drawn to intuitive and expressive art experiences that take you deeper than the surface. I love helping people get out of their own way, quiet the perfectionism and overthinking, and discover what becomes possible when they trust their creative instincts. There’s something incredibly powerful about watching someone realize, “I can actually do this.” I thrive on big ideas, ambitious visions, and creative problem-solving. Especially when a project starts as a dream and we get to figure out how to make it real. From immersive installations and sculptural artwork to unexpected materials, collaborative experiences, large-scale concepts, and environments that completely shift the energy of a space, I love creating work that makes people stop, look twice, feel something, and remember the experience. Ultimately, I love projects that give me the freedom to imagine beyond the obvious, experiment fearlessly, and create something that has never existed before. Whether I’m working one-on-one with a collector, collaborating on a meaningful space, developing an exhibition, or dreaming up a large-scale installation, I want my work to leave people with more energy, more possibility, and a little more magic than they had before.

I'll sit these ones out :-

I’m not at my best when creativity is confined by rigid rules,   repetitive processes,   or a predetermined formula with no room for exploration. I don’t love projects where the expectation is simply to reproduce what has already been done or where there’s little opportunity to bring imagination,   intuition,   and a personal point of view to the work. I’m much more energized by collaboration,   experimentation,   meaningful storytelling,   and the freedom to discover something unexpected along the way.
I also don’t thrive when the focus is solely on speed or volume rather than quality,   intention,   and connection. Creating meaningful artwork takes time to layer the story,   materials,   textures,   emotions,   and those unexpected little touches that make a piece uniquely its own. I believe the best creative work happens when there is enough space to ask questions,   take risks,   change direction,   and follow an idea somewhere new.
In short,   I’m not looking for projects that tell me exactly what to create,   I’m looking for opportunities where we can imagine what’s possible and create something extraordinary together.

Qualifications/Positions:

15+ years as an artist | 10+ years teaching art workshops | Adults & Kids | Schools & Extracurricular Programs | Intuitive & Expressive Art | Creative Facilitation | Mixed Media | Paint Experiences | Dance & Movement

I bring more than a decade of teaching experience to my art practice,   combining visual art,   movement,   intuition,   and creative expression to create memorable experiences for both children and adults. From schools and extracurricular programs to spontaneous “Paint Your Denim” events and immersive intuitive art workshops,   I create welcoming environments where people can let go of perfectionism and discover their creative voice. As a self-taught artist and lifelong learner,   I continually explore new techniques,   materials,   creative methodologies,   and the connection between mind,   body,   energy,   and artistic expression. I don’t just teach people how to make art. I help them experience what happens when they give themselves permission to create freely.

Worked with the following major brands:

My creative practice extends beyond the traditional canvas through brand collaborations,   product personalization,   experiential art,   and custom creative concepts. I love partnering with brands that understand the power of art to create a more personal and memorable connection with their audience.

Estée Lauder:
I collaborated with Estée Lauder on a special artistic personalization experience,   transforming beauty products into unique,   one-of-a-kind pieces. Through hand-painted and creatively embellished perfume bottles created around Mother’s Day,   I helped turn a beautiful beauty product into something deeply personal. A keepsake that mothers could receive from their daughters and treasure as a meaningful expression of love.

Sonicare:
I collaborated on an artistic personalization concept for Sonicare products,   bringing creativity and individuality into an everyday personal-care experience. By transforming functional products into personalized works of art,   the project explored how artwork can move beyond the gallery and become part of the rituals and experiences of everyday life.
