This project involved the use of spray paint on a cement wall, along with acrylic and ink. It was deeply inspired by my grandmother, whose strong family connections and values have always been a guiding light. She is the heart of our family, and this piece is a representation of my journey as an artist reconnecting with my Mexican roots after several years abroad. It symbolizes the various stages of life and where I currently stand in my artistic journey. I created this artwork in Mexico City, inside an upcoming jazz club.
Creating art is a deeply personal and enriching journey for me, one that has been influenced by my diverse life experiences. Originally from Los Cabos, Mexico, my journey has taken me from Canada to the USA, exposing me to a multitude of environments and cultures. Graduating with a major in animated illustration and a concentration in publication design from the Savannah College of Art and Design has equipped me with a strong foundation. My recent trip to Southeast Asia, where I curated exhibitions and worked closely with children and art students, served as a monumental source of inspiration. I find inspiration in the every day, from nature to human interaction, and I channel this into my art. As a surrealistic, abstract artist, my creative range spans from murals to digital projects, and I relish exploring new avenues for artistic expression. Now, as a newcomer to NYC, I am eager to seize new opportunities for personal and artistic growth.
