Meet the Artist
Haleiwa, United StatesI’m a professional artist, surfer, athlete, mother, storyteller, and creative entrepreneur based on the North Shore of Oʻahu. My work is deeply influenced by the ocean, movement, motherhood, nature, family, and the human experience.
Art has been a major part of my life for as long as I can remember. I create from a place of feeling, observation, and connection. My work spans fine art, painting, illustration, visual storytelling, and creative direction, and I love creating artwork that makes people feel something.
I’ve had the privilege of creating artwork for the Triple Crown of Surfing and have had my work recognized within the professional art world, including being inducted into an Art World Hall of Fame. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to create beautiful work in many places around the world, working across different subjects, environments, and creative projects. I’m incredibly grateful for that journey, and I’m excited to continue creating, collaborating, and bringing my art to new audiences and opportunities around the world.
My life outside the studio is also a huge part of my creative perspective. I’m a three-time Hawaii State Surfing Champion and a former collegiate soccer athlete, so movement, competition, discipline, and the natural world are deeply ingrained in how I see the world. Surfing has taught me to notice rhythm, energy, light, texture, timing, and the constantly changing relationship between people and nature.
I’m also the founder of Imua Moms, a movement created to give mothers in sports greater visibility and a voice within the athletic world. Through Imua Moms, I work in storytelling, media, creative campaigns, community building, and advocacy around motherhood and athletics. I’ve also helped build Imua Ohana, bringing together surfing, family, Hawaiian culture, hospitality, and storytelling.
These experiences have made me a very multidimensional creative. I understand not only art, but also athletes, brands, storytelling, photography, social media, lifestyle, family, and the emotional connection that makes creative work memorable.
My inspiration comes from the ocean, Hawaiian landscapes, my children, motherhood, athletes, movement, music, spirituality, vintage imagery, people’s stories, and the imperfect beauty of real life.
I love collaborating and bringing an artist’s eye to all kinds of projects—from fine art and illustration to editorial work, lifestyle campaigns, outdoor and surf brands, murals, custom artwork, storytelling, and creative direction.
I believe one of my greatest strengths is that I don’t see the world from just one perspective. I’ve lived many creative lives—artist, athlete, surfer, mother, entrepreneur, advocate, and storyteller—and all of those experiences find their way into my work.
After years of creating art around the world, I’m excited to keep going—to meet new people, collaborate with new brands and creative teams, take on new challenges, and make beautiful work wherever the opportunity takes me.
