I’m Harshida, a 2D illustrator and animation graduate who loves turning stories, emotions, and little observations from everyday life into visuals. I’m especially drawn to character-driven storytelling, expressive faces, atmospheric environments, and illustrations that feel like they have a story happening beyond the frame. My background in 2D animation has shaped the way I approach illustration. I love thinking about movement, expressions, composition, colour, and visual storytelling, and I enjoy exploring how an image can communicate something even without words. I work primarily with digital illustration and digital painting, and I’m comfortable with character design, visual development, background art, and creating illustrations that support a narrative. I take inspiration from films, books, animation, everyday conversations, people, places, and the small details that are easy to overlook. I’m particularly fascinated by the way artists can take an ordinary moment and make it feel memorable. I’d love to work on books where illustration is more than just decoration where the artwork becomes part of the storytelling and gives readers another way to experience the world of the book. My strongest skills include 2D illustration, character design, digital painting, visual storytelling, and 2D animation. I work with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and Animate, and I’m always excited to experiment, learn, and develop my visual language further.
