I’m Jeff, a freelance photographer from the Netherlands with a love for travel, people and the stories that exist between the obvious moments. Photography started for me with a fascination for places and the way people experience them. Over time, that grew into something deeper: I don’t just want to photograph what a place looks like, I want to capture what it feels like to be there. My work sits somewhere between travel, documentary and lifestyle photography. I’m drawn to honest moments, natural light, real people and the small details that often tell a bigger story. A quiet morning in a hotel, a conversation between strangers, someone working behind the scenes, or the atmosphere of a place just before everyone arrives — those are the moments I love to find. What I enjoy most about photography is that it makes me slow down and pay attention. I’m naturally curious, and I like getting to know the people and environments I photograph rather than simply pointing a camera at them. I believe the best images happen when people feel comfortable enough to forget about the camera. I’m experienced in creating visual stories for travel, hospitality, lifestyle and personal projects, and I bring a combination of a creative eye, technical knowledge and a strong feeling for atmosphere. I’m comfortable working independently, but I also enjoy collaborating with brands, businesses and people who have a story worth telling. If I had to describe my photography in a few words, I’d say: authentic, atmospheric and human. Ultimately, I photograph because I believe ordinary moments can become meaningful when you take the time to really see them.
