As an artist I have been dreaming of showcasing the (sometimes abstract) beauty of unpopular creatures 🌿 Synonymous with a displeased scrunch of the nose, I hope to challenge the undeserved, preconceived views of these species. I begin with the opportunistic predator, nature's clean-up crew, an old world vulture. While he doesn't need to justify his admirable existence, we can look past his villainous, lingering glare and appreciate a brilliantly intelligent charm. Unapologetically efficient in his quest for meat, he is biologically crucial for disease control, and maintains a near-nude neck plumage for the sake of cleanliness 🍽 He is also a surprising romantic, one of few monogamous species that mate for life. There is just so much to admire and I hope to show this to the world - replacing some negativity with even a little magic and appreciation ✨ If you came seeing a villain, I hope you leave admiring a hero. Also… a group of vultures at flight? A kettle. Resting vultures? A committee. What is not to love about these fascinating souls!
