We’re thrilled to share that Book An Artist has just recently completed four new commissions by London street artists with Netflix UK!

It only makes sense that the Netflix head offices match the dramatics of what plays on our screens. A few members of the team reached out to London street artists on the platform to create unique artworks for their new office space. The criteria ranged from head-nods to Netflix shows to intricate, show stopping typography.

London Street Artists

Riccardo –

Netflix commissioned Riccardo to paint contemporary hieroglyphs on the sixth floor of the building. The hieroglyphs contained references to some of Netflix’s most beloved series.

The Queen’s Gambit was one of of Netflix’s most successful shows, represented by the chess pieces.

Mara –

Our next artist, Mara, was commissioned to paint kitsch style decorative plates for one of the walls at the Netflix office. The key factors of the design needed to be cartoony and fun – avoiding realism and keeping with a colourful theme. Each of the ten plates had a different show to focus on, including Bridgerton, Squid Games and Stranger Things. Check it out!

The Line Girl –

Even the toilets weren’t forgotten in the Netflix building! The Line Girl created some colourful wiggles and swirls for the walls, incorporating favourite quotes from fierce female characters in between the lines.

Nico –

Last, but not least on the list of commissions for Netflix UK is a piece designed and painted by Nico. Known for his brightly coloured typography, Nico’s mural featured the phrase ‘This is Fitzrovia’ as the new office is located in Fitzrovia, London. Nico used brush work and spray paint to create the gorgeous design. Unreal!

Mural art and street art are fantastic additions to any office space. Renting? Don’t sweat it, much like Netflix’s commission with Mara for the plates there are plenty of art options for offices and shared spaces. Canvas commissions being a major draw for renters!
