3. Make a payment.

Make the commission process run smoothly by ensuring your payments are made in a timely fashion. Artists usually split up their invoice into two or three payments. The deposit initiates the design process and the final payment is made once the project is complete. Any interim payments will be discussed with your artist.

Deposit – Artists often request a deposit to be paid before any design work begins. Once paid, your artist will present to you a digital drawing for you to review, and will provide up to two rounds of edits based on your feedback. Once the final design is approved by you and a start date is agreed upon, paying for the first installment allows your artist to purchase materials needed for your art project to get started.

Final payment – Once the artists finishes your artwork and you’re satisfied, complete payment by paying the final balance within 3 days.

Payments can be made via Book An Artist Pay or bank transfer. Book An Artist Pay is our new payment system that ensures payment protection for both the customer and the artist. The new process allows clients to hold and release payments according to workflow and artists to see financial commitment to the project. Book An Artist Pay is a secure payment system run through Stripe and made to safeguard the payment process in the creative industry. Learn more about Book An Artist Pay!
