Sketching performances in front of a live audience is such a great thing to do, I can enjoy the music, engage with it by drawing simultaneously, and by the time the show is over the audience will have seen a blank sheet of A3 paper transformed into the scene they have just witnessed - using only pencils. Magic! My portraiture work is hand-painted in acrylic on linen board, everything passes through my own lense to become colourful interpretations of spontaneous photos with a strong sense of composition and volume that bring the subject to life. There are no last minute changes to this process so I will keep you updated throughout. Illustrations require a good dialogue between artist and client - there will be 2 rough drafts and the opportunity to modify the final piece before the final artwork is sent in its digital form because I really want to get it right for you.

Mansoureh had the tough task of copying and creating a piece of art of my late grandad, by just using a very old photo. With also the added pressure of making the piece for my mother's birthday. From the start, she was extremely kind and helpful with the ideas I put in front of her. Even when I asked to change certain details of the art she was amazing and did just so. Mansoureh was in contact constantly and showed updates of the painting and I found that very professional of her. The time limit was tight and the painting was finished and at my doorstep on time. This is my first time using Bookanartist and I'm very happy with the amazing artist I chose. I could go on about Mansoureh but I'm sure you are bored of reading and also my hands hurt.
