1. Balcony Wall, Fausto – Melbourne

Home murals are the perfect way to bring personality to your residence! Michael reached out to Fausto in mid-August 2021 to create a colourful masterpiece mural for their balcony wall. Michael had a clear vision of what he was after, a “nature colliding with the city” inspired design incorporating a few token Melbourne elements such as a tram and the MCG lights.

2. Basketball Court, Rory – Melbourne

TIm connected with Rory back in November 2020 for a sports mural design for his home basketball court. He requested the inclusion of famous basketballers Ben Simmons, Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Dennis Rodman and LeBron James. Rory created a hyper-realistic mural that’d make anyone feel like a superstar on the court.

3. Dining Room, Sophi – Sydney

Known for her gorgeous flora and fauna designs, Sophi was commissioned to paint a free-flying bird for Rema’s dining room. Rema requested a beautiful design of a swallow (or similar) flying down from her skylight. She wanted oranges, yellows, browns and golds to fit her home’s aesthetic and the bird was to represent her personal love of adventure. Home murals can be designed to incorporate your favourite things, but also the colours of your decor.

4. Garage Wall, Gillie & Debbie – Sydney

Vicki contacted Gillie & Debbie with a request to cover her garage wall in some colourful designs. Vicki wanted the mural to be a surprise for her husband when he returned to Sydney as he’d been stuck in another state due to border closures. She shared with them that her husband and son are avid cyclists and she is a lover of all things gardens (except birds). Gillie and Debbie created a colourful interpretation of their mixed interests and Vicki seemed fairly pleased.

5. Garage Door, Duncan – Brisbane

Linda came to Book An Artist with a cool but somewhat challenging request! Looking for someone to paint a punk version of Frida Khalo on her corrugated garage door. Duncan knew exactly how to handle such a challenge and got to work. The sun, the motion of the door and the corrugated metal all had to be taken into consideration. Despite all the elements working against him, Duncan painted a hyper realistic piece that would make Frida proud. The brilliance of home murals is that they can be painted anywhere on your property! All you need is a blank space.

6. Water Tank, Nea – Melbourne

Nea replied to an open job from Anish wanting to take on the opportunity to paint his water tank. It seemed to be love at first sight as Anish and Nea got to locking in a date pretty quickly! Who says water tanks have to be boring? Not Nea!

7. Entry Hallway, Melanie – Melbourne

Siobhan commissioned not one, but two home murals! Originally Siobhan connected with Melanie through Book An Artist to get her fence painted. Through conversation and collaboration, Siobhan ended up getting her hallway painted as well. We couldn’t agree more with her choice to include as many of Melanie’s gorgeous flora and fauna as possible.

8. Garden Fence, Damian – Melbourne

Yen commissioned a wonderful mural from Damian in April 2021. Damian took his reference images and the idea of a traditional Foo Dog and presented Yen with a unique design that transformed his garden. The project took a couple of days and left the garden looking vibrant and colourful.

9. Pool Wall, Reuben – Sydney

Experienced florist, Susan, posted a job to Book An Artist searching for someone to paint the wall above her pool. Working together with Reuben, the pair created an Australian based design that has created a fresh, inviting feel to the residential pool. Kick back and enjoy the sunshine with a fun mural backdrop.

10. Nursery, Lorna – Adelaide

Australian themed home murals are exceptionally popular for children’s rooms and nurseries. Alex contacted Lorna for a flora and fauna design for the nursery in her new home. Lorna created several gorgeous designs that all featured Australian natives. The aim was to create a peaceful environment for baby and its safe to say Lorna achieved that!
