About
Úrsula Romero is an internationally recognised master flower painter, artist and publisher living in Spain and the UK. Predominantly a painter, Úrsula plays with light and scale to create intimate, poetic engagements between the viewer and their natural environment, making works that bring us closer to the mystical, the metaphysical and the sublime. Around her creative axis spin ideas about longing and desire, being lost or trapped, dreams, fertility and memory. Described as a 'rebel flower painter', Úrsula is known for using flowers and leaves as her muse, but in recent years, her work has diversified as she continues to explore the invisible and the hidden. She is currently developing a Tarot Deck. She is also a writer, curator and sound artist with 14 years of experience working with historic collections. She travels widely, collaborating with institutions, artists, designers and students and has paintings in both public and private collections.
