To see more of my art please check my Ing @wondersofoz Growing up in Turkey as a woman I was condition to believe women's breast and some other body parts are sexual organs. I wasn't able to wear any revealing clothing because if I did men in the street wolf whistle and try to harass me. For a long time, I forced by my parents to wear whatever they approved. In their offence, they were trying to protect me from getting hurt, even though i obeyed my parent's rules I still got harassed, got raped and I got serious mental health problems for years. After many unpleasant experiences, I realised It doesn't matter what I wear there will always some unrespectful people who will violet my rights. Because In many people's minds if a woman wears a low neck top or a short skirt she wants attention. Why is it that women are expected to dress in a way that avoids such harassment? I believe most of us condition to believe some of the human body parts are sexual organs because during sex we can receive lots of stimulation through them in the act of foreplay. But so do other body parts, like the eyes, the lips, the neck, the hands, etc. Why don't we give the same reaction when we see a hand? It is simply because we used to see them. If we do something regularly it becomes normal to our nature. Remember the time when women weren't able to wear trousers, or men weren't able to have long hair, or gay people weren't able to marry, they weren't even able to hold hands in the street. Why are all those things are possible now? Because we fought for our rights and in time people who didn't like the idea got used to it. Still, some people are making life harder and separate us using racism or religion but we will never give up on our human rights. I just want to end this separation and bring everyone together. I wanna reformat as many brains as possible and help people get back to their origins and live life as souls, not as bodies. Since I was a little girl I found art best way to express my emotions and to connect with people and show my feelings that I could never put into words. So I decided to use my art to express my feelings towards sexuality. I will carry on painting nude bodies until the day everyone walks naked in the streets and that day becomes just an ordinary day for us. If you think this is impossible think again, there are tribes in the world with no clothes. Anything and everything is possible if you dream it with your soul.
