Mark SYK

Mark Dreher Jr., also known as Mark S.Y.K I am a self-taught acrylic and mix media artist from Columbia, SC! My artistic journey began at the age of 17. When I turned 21, I truly embraced my passion and took my art to new heights by featuring in shows and displaying my art in local restaurants featuring a wall display in café strudel and a cheeseburger painting displayed at Market on the Main restaurant, which has become immensely popular with our USC sports teams. I hope to go even further with this gift and reach greater heights. I always wanted to make a significant impact in the world, and I chose creativity. It brings people together; you learn diverse ways from looking at someone's art. It is a way of expressing your feelings of the world and where you are from individually, from your background, love life, memories, and manifestations. I see how great you can become and how it can help you see places you have never been before because it gives you that leap of overcoming things. You feel open to many arms and sometimes challenged but you become someone of your own. My work is based on positive enlightenment, comfort, motivation, and the energy of the world. I want to bring uprising to individuals through my work. The use of blue is a symbol of peace and power. My focus on blue is to feel blue like a shout-out to you when I am presenting it, to focus on what it means as if the color is a guide to you. The hope is for my paintings to bring a massive impact on others when they look at them.
