About
75+ clients, 30+ murals, 23+ years A nationally recognized mural artist, I have a rare combo of creative vision and real-world execution. Mixing creativity with logistics, I have managed projects up to $300,000, and meet deadlines. With me, you get more than an artist—you get a collaborator who listens, leads, and delivers. Site-specific and thoughtful, intertwining themes course through my works on canvas, murals and public art; the energy of place, renewal, temporality, shifting facets and planes overlapping, and the happenings in spaces leaving imprints of energies. My work lives at the intersection of storytelling and place-making, designed to reflect the spirit of a space and the people who shape it. I care about what this piece means to your neighborhood. Every mural or program is rooted in research, client input, and a whole lot of heart! She received an MAAA from Winthrop University and a BFA from UNCC. Sharon curates for Gallery c3 at Alchemy and has served as an Adjunct Professor and Rowe Galleries Coordinator at UNC Charlotte and as Director for Center of the Earth Gallery. A 2014 TedX Charlotte speaker, she regularly lectures and teaches art workshops. My commissions include large scale mural and transit projects for Chicago, Charlotte, Raleigh, Durham, and Boulder, CO, Rock Hill, SC and more. My art residencies include The McColl Center for Visual Art, Penland School of Craft, Vermont Studio Center, Can Serrat-Barcelona, Casa Lu-Mexico City, Tyrone Guthrie Center-Ireland, NES-Iceland, United Buddy Bear-Berlin, and the Julia and David White Colony-Costa Rica. I have received multiple grants from the Arts and Science Council, Knight Foundation, and the City of Charlotte, and my work is in corporate collections nationwide. Lastly, I also offer art consulting services, from program creation for non-profits to curating, lectures and workshops.

I paint my designs that have been created after working with the clients

Pick me for these projects! :-

Celebrating an important person, history or story through my vibrant art. I love community engagement and ensuring that my work connects to stakeholders.

I'll sit these ones out :-

Painting imagery that has been done before repeatedly or is a challenge to align with the style of my work.
