About
Lara is a London-based, contemporary artist from the Middle East who grew up in London. She is well known for her eclectic style, and has always been drawn to the beauty of the human body in art. Her work is primarily driven by themes of intimacy, self-love and the emotive power of her female subjects to discover, and uncover their best, most authentic self. Lara uses a variety of media, including oil and acrylic. She uses these to accentuate lines in her subjects to represent differences in culture. She uses textures to enhance emotive expression to the viewer. Lara is currently working on her first of many series, “Diaspora and Proud”.
