About
Kia ora! I'm Craig McClure, a visual artist based in Kirikiriroa, Hamilton - born in Scotland and been based in Aotearoa, New Zealand since 2007. My first introduction to art was through comic books and Saturday morning cartoons... and their influence stuck around! My experience working in the arts includes mural painting, illustration, fine art/canvas painting, installation art, curating exhibitions, art directing and managing festivals and other art projects. My art work and designs has been exhibited across New Zealand as well as in Australia, UK and U.S.A.I am willing to travel for the right project and can also work great in a team. What I love to do is to research a story, a place or a clients ideas and create a visual interpretation that suits the context of the site or intended use. I am always up for a challenge and happy to work with you on your ideas to make a wall, space or whatever you can imagine more beautiful and interesting. I have a strong group of professionals across the industry I can collaborate and work with to bring the skills to the project that fit best.

I paint my designs that have been created after working with the clients

Pick me for these projects! :-

Murals and installation art. I love to create a transformational environment! Also, digital illustration and canvas commissions

I'll sit these ones out :-

I am not interested in reproducing someone else's design,   but I am happy to create my own deign,   inspired by something you ave seen. Jobs where the client has already decided exactly how something will look,   instead of allowing the creative process to make better outcomes
