Spray painted mural for the Wide Open Walls mural festival in 2020. It took 10 days to complete this mural and is a mixture of flowers and a disco balls with mandala reflections.
I am a self-taught artist from Alameda, California. I picked up small, detailed illustration while working as a nail artist in San Francisco before relocating to Denver where it evolved from nails to mandala style art on paper. I started painting murals when a good friend asked to paint a logo on the wall at their freshly renovated studio and it progressed from there.
My style ranges from highly detailed mandala-style and geometric work to florals with hidden animals, with the ongoing theme of a lot of colors. I like to add hidden elements to my work as way to prolong the discovery in the artwork, making what appears to be a mixture of plants at first glance to a bear upon or second of third look. I just want to create a moment to breathe in my work.
