The view by Kseniya Revzin in Winnipeg

The view

This hand-drawn ink sketch captures the view from the balcony of the Ilana Goor Museum—one I stood on countless times during the seven years I worked there. It’s a familiar stretch of rooftops and palm trees, drawn in loose, searching lines. In the foreground, oversized planters soften the edge of the scene, grounding the sketch in a spot that always felt like a pause—where sea breeze, sun, and the hum of Old Jaffa wrapped around you. This piece is part of the series I created for my solo exhibition at the museum in spring 2024. It’s less about architectural precision and more about memory—how places live in your hands when you’ve lived in them long enough.
