Supportive friends by James Wilson in Toronto

Supportive friends

Skateboarding is a recurring theme in my work, and I use it as a metaphor for the sense of freedom and possibility that comes with youth. By including the onlooking friend in the piece the painting references a healthy balance between risk and having a support network to help if you need it and celebrate wins.
