I am a Syrian multidisciplinary visual artist whose practice spans over 12 years of self‑directed study, enriched by a selection of targeted online courses. Working fluently across media—from oil and acrylic paints and oil pastel to charcoal and ink—I embrace a wide material vocabulary that lets me shift effortlessly between modes of expression.
My work is deeply shaped by conflict: the war that has ravaged my homeland, as well as the more recent crises in Ukraine and Gaza, infuse every piece with urgency and emotional weight. I explore three primary avenues:
Expressionism: Channeling raw emotion and collective trauma through dynamic brushwork and bold color contrasts.
Abstraction: Employing shapes, lines, and negative space to evoke fractured memories and open‑ended narratives.
Portraiture: Rendering the human face as a testament to resilience, capturing both vulnerability and strength in my sitters’ features.
Beyond painting, I’ve cultivated a hands‑on practice in sculpture—transforming my reflections on conflict into three‑dimensional forms that confront viewers in space. To sustain my work, I also earn my living as a tattoo artist, translating my designs onto skin and creating personal emblems of identity and survival.
I continually seek new challenges and collaborations with those who wish to bring art that speaks to profound human experiences into their homes, public spaces, or bodies.
