Orchids by the Window

I was drawn to the reference image I took for "Orchids by the Window" (2025), due to its gorgeous. calm atmosphere. In particular, I was interested by the way in which the sun refracts and diffuses through the patterned window, onto a seemingly simple white window sill. The warm light of the sun interacts with the bright pink of the orchids, and the cool blues of the backlit wall that frames the painting.
