Mango Vibes bursts with vibrant colors reminiscent of ripe mangoes, capturing the essence of summer. This mural/graffiti piece in Murwillimbah draws inspiration from the joy of eating mangoes, blending warm hues into a lively composition. Created with spray paint, it marks a milestone as the first legal graffiti work by the artist, with assistance from King Haes. The artwork suggests a celebration of summer's abundance and the simple pleasures of life. Spray paint on wall, dimensions 3x1.3m.
Born in New Zealand, raised in Australia. Gold Coast based artist Jimmy has been honing his skills in many different forms – Drawing, Canvas Painting, Aerosol art, Street art and re-purposing hard rubbish for over a decade.
Inspired by the element of surprise that graffiti and street art pieces bring to their environment and also inspired by more traditional and modern art. Jimmy creates to capture this essence, and to challenge the boundaries of what people consider as acceptable art, and to inspire others to be brave in making.
Jimmy also likes to paint and draw with his young son Zephyr as he brings so much freedom and raw energy to whatever they are creating. We create, because it makes us feel alive!
Zefbam comes from an acronym Jimmy formed to represent his family. It's a reminder of the reason why he creates and why he is still pursuing his creative dreams. Jimmy hopes that as his craft evolves that he will be able to use it to connect with more creatives, to highlight subjects that matter to him in a unique way, to honour those that have come before him and to leave a legacy for those that will come after him.
