I was chosen alongside over 100 artists to paint at the first ever London Mural Festival.
The festival sets out to use London as a vast canvas, introducing a new way for people to experience one of the world’s biggest art movements. I painted on the Tybolds Estate in Holborn, alongside 4 other artists.
Chez is a queer artist & designer based in London, UK. She works across multi-disciplinary art forms, creating vibrant portals with a bold and accessible visual language.
She has exhibited with established galleries such as MK Gallery and Blueshop Cottage and was chosen to take part in the first ever London Mural Festival in 2021. She was featured in Elle Decoration Magazine who chose her as a 'Name to Know' in the London mural scene. She has been commissioned by commercial brands such as COAT paints and Hush Homewear for public art installations and creative campaign collaborations.
Chez captures the feeling of joyful abandon in her work with balanced precision, symmetry and hypnotic technicolour. She takes inspiration from postmodernist design, disco culture and the intentional use of colour to explore; identity, pleasure and play.
Her practice rests on the belief that colour, shape and pattern can transform spaces into something we can interact and engage with.
