Iris

In this work I study the iris flower as a symbol. The iris flower depicted on the canvas symbolizes tenderness, love and devotion! The watercolor technique of applying acrylic makes this painting very bright, due to the transparency of the layer, the whiteness of the canvas gives the flower a glow from within. The silver outline and epoxy resin create an optical illusion, the flower seems to be surrounded by water and shines in its splashes. In this work I explore modern materials that allow me to convey the natural beauty of a flower, enhancing it and showing it in a new light.
