Arrowhead

This is an 11x14 Acrylic painting on Stretched Canvas. I did this piece for a competition where each artist was paired up with a local park to create a plein air painting. I was assigned to paint Lord Stirling Park in Basking Ridge, NJ. It was mostly swampland and was breathtaking in the summer when I visited. I sought to capture the beauty of the park and some of the history behind it as it was originally native land. This painting was sold to the county shortly after the show.
