Antwerp Port Tortoise by Sam Shennan in Antwerp
Antwerp Port Tortoise
The port of Antwerp built a new wall to prevent flooding in the industrial areas and recruited over 80 artists to paint a 900m long wall. This tortoise was my first Belgian mural since I moved here and I wanted to put in a slow moving reminder to people that moving slow can sometimes be faster.
Meet the Artist
Antwerp, BelgiumI'm an Australian artist, recently moved to Belgium to expand my sense of culture. I'm focused on delivering a playful atmosphere to a venue or business with my work. I've blended several imaginary and psychedelic elements from tattoo and tribal patterning to build characters to tell stories. Stories have the ability to communicate beyond words and craft a message which speaks your truth.
My all-surface illustration skills can help too bring your idea to life across analogue, digital and virtual spaces.
