I was thrilled to finally draw someone really close to me, to give the painting the nuances I saw in her personality as I know her. It was the perfcet occasion since she agreed to model for a couple of hours, giving me time to observe the light and at the same time pushing the work to be free, as opposed to hyperfocusing on every detail.

Meet the Artist
Sofia, BulgariaI'm based at Sofia, Bulgaria. Most of my work up until 2024 had been focused on studies. I started to persue what trully intrigued me a couple of months into the year. Some of that includes theatre inspired art, based on different settings and characters. Portraying both people and landscapes became another big interest in my work. No matter the subject tho, what I seek in each drawing is to capture a state that lasts for a few seconds amongst the hours.
Impressionism so far has left the biggest impact on me, regarding taste, since the key characteristic of it is the endless interection between everything visible.
Besides oil paint, I work a lot with charcoal, especially when it comes to portraits :)
